Family Updates

Wow, I can't believe that I haven't blogged in almost a month, I am so ashamed! Seriously, that's pretty bad. I will endeavour to do better in the future.

The last month has been a busy one. First a picture from Halloween. It was one of the nicest Halloweens (weather wise) that I can remember! No snow, no rain, and not even very cold. We had fun trick or treating. Sorry for the poor picture quality, didn't have my camera on the right setting....stinkers.

In November we were invited to Anna's birthday party where we all took part in a Princess Fashion Show. It was quite the event! The girls had a blast, and the women did too :) Tanya even donned her wedding gown which of course the girls were blown away by. The lovely purple dress I'm wearing was a bridesmaid gown from my brother Mike's wedding something like 14 years ago. I could get it on, but I couldn't breathe out while I was wearing it...it was pretty snug.
Fun times!

Our most recent adventure was our family's trip to Great Wolf Lodge last Wednesday. There was a special deal for Paramedics and we decided to pull the kids out of school and went up for the Wednesday to Thursday. We had an absolute blast!! The kids had never been to Niagara Falls and they were blown away by the falls and the resort. Obi kept asking if he was dreaming, it was so cute! It was a beautiful day to tour the falls before we could get into the hotel, so we were blessed that way! Later that night we also got to see the falls all lit up which was incredible!

Here are the kiddies in the Wolf Den...they thought it was awesome!! They had their own 'room' with their own TV which was super cool to them! Lyric & Izzy had to squeeze into the top bunk, but they were so exhausted after a day in the waterpark that they had no problems sleeping in that snug space.

Here they are out front of the resort in the huge lawn chair...cute.

A pic of the waterpark...it was pretty incredible! Lazy river, waterslides, wave pool, towers for spraying people in (seen in front), even a little kids 'hot tub'. Quite the fun place.

My sweet girls having the time of their lives. It was tough to get pics on the waterpark without getting wet so I didn't take many.

The kids were thrilled when they got back to our room after storytime to find little wolf cubs waiting for them. They played for hours with these little guys and will be a great momento of our little family vacation.

After an almost 5 month vacation from my doula job (at least from actual births), my winter schedule is quickly filling up! So far I have clients booked for December, January and April. I've also been so blessed to have found a girl in town who is willing to be my emergency sitter! What a relief!!! So now I can rest peacefully when I have women due, knowing that my sitter situation is all lined up.

Joel and I have also booked our 10 year wedding anniversary trip for January. We are going to San Andres Colombia and we can't WAIT! Lots of pics to come :)

That's about all the news here in Siebertville. Stay tuned :)

So nice to hear from you! Glad to hear you are doing well. We haven't ventured to GWL yet as I've been too cheap!
