Izzy lost her front tooth on top yesterday. She looks so adorable with the big hole where her tooth once was. Joel loves to tease her and say she looks like a hockey player :) It's the 3rd tooth she's lost so far.
I am NOT a tooth person. As a child I absolutely hated having loose teeth. I recall my parents holding me down and my mom pulling out my teeth as I screamed in protest (yes I'm scarred :) Then they would let me keep them in until they were holding on by a thread. Yuck. Teeth pulling in our family is definitely Joel's thing. He had an elaborate plan for how he was going to get Izzy's out yesterday. It involved dental floss tied off to her tooth and a hockey ball, and he was going to do a slap shot so the tooth would fly out. She was seriously considering letting him do it until it was time to tie on to the tooth and she changed her mind. Shortly after that she decided she would let him, but Joel & I were on our way out for a while so we said we would do it when we got home. Lucky for her when we got home it was already out :) She had bit into a smartie ball and it fell out all by itself (I have to admit I was relieved!!).
I'm glad Joel enjoys this stage of life as much as he does because I don't ever want to have to pull my kids teeth.
Yuck

Awesome pictures of the girls! Izzy is looking so grownup these days! And you poor girl, you had such a traumatic childhood!!
the previous anonymous was me....
the only thing that really can be said is...where the hell did joel get that idea? let him know that this type of scheming will not encourage his children to love the sport of hockey...much less every want to see daddy's awesome slap shot again!
