Well, it's that time I look forward to every single year (since we got married), it's time to go on vacation with my hubby :) So tomorrow we head to my mom and dad's to drop the kids and Sunday morning we head to Whitney Ontario to our favourite vacation destination and I CAN'T WAIT. As much as I love children (and I DO), and as much as I love my job (and I DO), I can't describe how much I'm looking forward to peace, quiet and no pager. I can only think of a few days since our trip last year where I haven't been 'on call' and wearing my pager. There's something wonderful about laying my head on a pillow at night and not wondering if I'll be awoken by the Indiana Jones theme playing from my pager (yes, that one gets my adrenaline pumping ;)
Hope everyone has a good week. And for all you married couples out there: take time ALONE with your spouse...it's the best investment you'll make. YES, kids are important, and I'm the first to talk about my love of vacationing with my kids: camping in the summer, but there is something so sweet about reconnecting with the one you love with no other distractions. We only go away once a year and it's only 3 nights, but it's wonderful :)
