Here's my handsome boy, proudly displaying one of his amazing Lego creations. He definitely has the gift of building vehicles. He can spend hours coming up with wild looking modes of transportation. This specific vehicle includes not one, but two steering wheels, he's made tractors, moon walkers, and every sort of construction vehicle you can imagine.
Well, my poor little son managed to put his bottom tooth all the way through his lip this evening. Praise God my dear Father-in-law was here. He came over after work to have supper and then babysit the kids while I went to ballet. About 4:30 I hear Obi screaming like crazy and I run to find him holding is lip and blood filling his mouth. Poor little man. Dad offered to take him to the hospital, but he wanted me to go with him. Actually, we were very blessed, we probably spent a total of 45 minutes in the emergency department. Obi had a big smile when we left there. His chin was glued back together (on the outside...the doc said the inside would heal very quickly on its own), and a prescription for popsicles to bring down the swelling. "We'd better do what the doctor told us to, right Mommy?" he said, "yes" I answered, "cause we don't want the doctor to get mad at us". Sure Obi :) He had a blast picking out Scooby Doo popsicles at the local grocery store.
Dad ended up making supper and we were probably eating by about 5:30. It was really amazing that it all worked out. I wasn't even late for dance class. Thanks Dad!
Sorry I haven't written much lately. This past weekend was a busy one. Izzy had a sleepover with her best friend Elizabeth (my ballet buddy's daughter). Then Izzy and Obi were over there Saturday afternoon for a Halloween party. They had fun! Sunday was packed as well. We had a cool church service where we were able to communicate live with the church in Colombia. It was really neat, we both covenanted to support and pray for eachother and then we each sang a song for the other church (all translated back and forth of course). I'm not doing so well on the Spanish, I'm finding it very dificil, and I only have another 3 weeks to work on it.
Tomorrow of course is another busy day. Heart to heart, school for Izzy, our Toyota is being taken away and Halloween night. Stay tuned for pictures and stories.
