Good times

It's been a while since I posted. My birthday was wonderful, spent the morning with a friend, lunch with a friend and my mother-in-law, and the evening at the kids school for the year end BBQ. The big surprise that day was Joel getting the kids up real early (a big feat for him since neither of us are morning people!!). Then we all headed up to our favourite breakfast spot in town. There we were at 6:55 a.m. ordering breakfast. It was awesome!! The kids sang to wake me up, then gave me their homemade cards at the restaurant and Joel even brought a candle along to stick in my donut. It was a really nice day. I felt celebrated. It was great.

Last weekend was church camping at a local trailer park. The weather was perfect, and it was so awesome to be able to visit so long with people as the kids ran around and pretty much entertained themselves! It was a really great time. Here are some pics.
Josh Gingerich making us all howl as he sucked air in through his nose, suctioning the nose cover to his nostrils....too cute

My gorgeous girl coolin off at the pool. I love this picture

Phyllis, don't you just LOVE this one :) I was so glad I caught
the moment before he noticed me

On another note I've got doula clients coming out the wazoo. Just had another request for August 6. Tomorrow I'm speaking at the hospital to a new moms group, then tomorrow night I'm doing the comfort measures hour at the local prenatals (too stinkin bad I'm booked solid for the next bit...and I'm going to promote doulas). We desperately need some more certified doulas in the area. Which is AWESOME that people are starting to recognize our profession, but difficult because I'm not the type of person who can say no easily!! Argh.

Signing off. Gotta try to sleep off this headache I've had for days (I hate humid weather).

Mel
