Wow, our weekend with family camping at MacGregor sure flew by. We had a great time, although we missed our dear sister Leah very much. The weather was slightly cool so we didn't do a whole lot of swimming. We did lots of biking though and Monday morning (thanks to Anna), Izzy and Obi let Daddy take their training wheels off and they're doing so well! We biked all the way to the store as a family with no training wheels. I sure didn't expect that this weekend.
It is always great to get together as a family. I feel so blessed to be one of the "Sieberts". What a loving, generous and CRAZY family ;) I thank God often for in-laws that love me like one of their own (and I know that Joel feels that way about my parents...which really warms my heart as well). My sisters (Leah, Kathy and Tanya) are awesome, they are the sisters I wasn't born with but always wanted. My brother-in-laws are great too. The kids all have an absolute blast together and every year it gets better. This year the kids would go off on their own and play for ages...what a break. Kathy and Brad had their hands full looking after the dear one year olds in the family (I swear that's the toughest age to camp with), but they made it through and nobody got run over on the road :)
This year I had the added bonus of having my parents up on Saturday as well. I love that the Sieberts all love my parents and my parents love each of them as well. My kids were so excited to have all 4 Grandparents together at the same time (a rare and sweet treat). All that was missing was "Big Grandma" and the kids were certainly wishing she was there. We look forward to Big Grandma coming for a visit next week. She's the best!
So now I have the Siebert Christmas party to look forward to. The two times in the year when we get the whole clan together... and EAT. Thanks God for such a close and loving family. I know that I am blessed to have them all.
