Winter Glories

Here are some shining moments of the past week here in rural Ontario:

Izzy sharing her princess stories with her little sister all snuggled up on the couch...so SWEET!

Daddy and Obi toboganning off the top of the Quinzhee. I'm not sure what we would have done this winter without that big ole pile of snow.

A wonderful surprise: A hybiscus blossom in February. I'm so proud of myself for doing so well with that plant. She sure is a beauty. What a lovely surprise to see a beautiful red flower in the middle of winter.

We've had a good week. The kids had 2 snow days this week and we've been enjoying some SUN which has been awesome. It's been brutally cold though and we've had some pretty good storms through the week. I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of spring (my favourite time of year).

This weekend Joel's sister Leah and Brother Jared and his wife Kath are all coming up to watch our kids for us while we attend a wedding in Hamilton of my cousin. Joel and I are really looking forward to spending time with my mom's family. We are so blessed to have family that are willing to help out when we need sitters! Then Sunday we've got a Christmas dinner (yeah, you heard me). Do you know how tough it is to find cranberries this time of year? (I'm not talking about that garbage that comes in a can!)>

Should be a wonderful weekend of great family time. Will hopefully get lots of pictures.

Have a great one everybody!

Mel

Hi Mel, have a great weekend, I just love weddings...your pics are great, especially the plant...it looks like something out of "Martha" - good job!
