Here are the pictures of our Easter Basket that I told you about...from Queen of the Castle. The kids really enjoyed the scavenger hunts and wanted to keep on doing them after Easter :) Here is what the basket looked like on the night before Easter (with all the reminders of the stories from the week).
Here is what the basket looked like on Easter morning: The white cloth, the angel and the bread (that Jesus broke with His disciples before his ascension). The coins were to represent the bribe that the guards took to say that Jesus' body had been stolen (rather than the truth of what really happened).
Here is a shot of what the "Easter bunny" left for the kids (although, Obi told me this year that he knows the Easter bunny is just a fairy tale).
And here is the great hunt. This year we had the idea to hide the same number of eggs per kid in a seperate room for each of them so they didn't have the mad scramble to get their eggs before anyone else did (this worked much better). Lyric got the Princess nightie and literally has worn it every possible minute since she received it!! It stays on as long as possible in the morning and goes back on immediately after supper.
It was a great Easter!
